What is the minimum wage in the Netherlands in 2026?
The minimum wage in the Netherlands in 2026 is €14.71 per hour for people aged 21 and over. This is equivalent to approximately €2,353 gross per month working 40 hours a week.
However, this gross salary is significantly reduced after mandatory deductions. The net minimum wage is around €1,775-1,950 per month , depending on your personal situation and the deductions applied to you.

Health insurance is mandatory in the Netherlands. The basic cost is around €135-150 per month for standard insurance. You can't avoid this expense, but it is partly deductible if your income is low.
